As you may know I am ALSO a snowboard instructor & with the hint of snow today lets all try this.
Yeah it's a leg burner!

"Slope Style"
5 rounds for time:
lateral box jumps, 5 per side
pistols, 5 per leg
air squat w/ 180 deg. jumping rotation, 5 rotations right/ 5 rotations left

Brandon, not bad...where's the creativity?

I did "slope style" as Rx'd
5 rounds for time of:
lateral box jumps, 5/5 reps
pistols, 5/5 reps
air squat w/180 deg. rotation, 5/5reps

Time: 8:43

This was an "arse" burner, mostly due to the 50 pistols...

5x5 back squat

245,265,285,285,285

did this at 3:00 in the morning on8/19, so I was still fatigued from 8/18 WOD without any rest.

i did 2 minutes of 20" lateral jumps afterward. i can see the first two as functional more so than the last.

when will you give my wod a try?

function? I agree, not so much for everyday life...That's why this is a "snowboarding" specific WOD.

lateral box jumps: because you're having to spring off of one leg more than the other this builds timing, coordination, strength, balance, etc. for the "ollie"

Pistols: basic leg strength & balance exercise

air squats w/180 rotation: on the snowboard, this is the "air 180" transition from regular to switch riding (left foot forward to right foot forward, vice versa) the variation would be an air squat w/ 360 deg rotation "air 360".

So when you combine the "ollie" & the "air 180" it looks pretty cool hence "Slope Style"
